Which album is Expectations from Farmer?

Excellent.

Do we have a general consensus that Wichita Lineman is the best song ever, so?

Some load of dross in that

I’m up to about 60, have more crossover with yours than the others already @farmerinthecity, I’d be close enough to finished but I’m trying not to do more than one song an artist at the mo. I’ll probably give that up as it doesn’t do justice to too many of them.

I would have included Moya by Godspeed You Black Emperor in my 90s list if I’d remembered it.

I thought @farmerinthecity 's music snobbery would rule out cover versions.

Tiger Milk - the first one.

There’s a noticeable lack of Beatles tunes in the lists so far.

Holy crap, i know over 30

25 for me.

It might be the demographic, but I think a lot of people think they are over rated.

I’m going to do a list, for my own memory really more than anything. I’m breaking it into 4 sections of 25, Childhood, teenage, 20’s and an everything else section.

Trying to remember for better or worse what I actually liked at the time, and not necessarily what my favour ute 100 might be right now.

Its a difficult one Kev, I reckon anyone doing a list now would change it next week.

I’m tipping away at one at the moment and am sure within a couple of days of posting I’ll have about 20 different songs that didn’t come to mind.

Not in my view but the consensus seems to be showing it, God Only Knows and Waterloo Sunset as being the frontrunners.

My technique was to go through my iPod. That’s why the alphabetical thing went a bit weird towards the end as a bunch of them are under various artists.

I put down possible songs for the list. I had 350 odd when I finished. Then I just cut the shit out of it.

They should feature heavily if we have a best albums list.

That’s an excellent list, fair fucks:clap::clap:
Hard to know what to pick from something like Mi Media Naranja or the likes of Godspeed when the pieces are so much better listened to as a whole, glad you didn’t forget Mark Linkous and you picked the right song too.

No. Sometimes has been on most lists, wouldn’t argue with that one

350, fuck that’s commitment. I’m getting very frustrated picking one song an artist but I’m going to try to stick to it. It’s forcing some quite generic choices though, how do you pick one Bob Dylan or Clash song for example?
