Favourite Christmas Movies

Its a Wonderful Life is on at our place every Christmas morning, its a great great film.

Growing up, I seem to remember Willy Wonka on every Christmas Eve afternoon, one of Fitzy juniors favourite films now.

I always watch my favourite film of all time, the Dead, at this time of the year. Has to be the greatest Irish film ever made.

Of course, I always seem to watch Apocalypse Now at this time of the year as well.

I’ve never seen The Dead. Would one pick it up easily in HMV and the like, does anyone know?

The Godfather is a good one for Christmas Day too.

You should be able to Thrawneen, my missus bought it for me online a few years ago. You could also read the story in Joyce’s Dubliners!

Vertigo must be well up on your list as well?

That’s my favourite.

I have never seen Vertigo (it’s on some morning over Christmas) but Rear Window and The Birds would also feature high on my list.

Its on TV over Christmas, RTE 1 dec 28th 11.55pm.

I read the first few pages recently but managed to lose the book shortly afterwards. My deceased grandfather’s copy.

Ah, lovely.
