Hard to look beyond Its a Wonderful Life for me. Die Hard of course is another favourite. Looking to download a few classics I may have missed over the years, anyone got any other suggestions?
Die Hard is class and it is set on Christmas eve but would never class it as a christmas movie, it is far too good for that genre…
Elf is a delightful chrsitmas romp…
Home Alone I
Home Alone II (Lost in New York)

fuck off
Home Alone is a good shout. Not so much Home Alone II.
Trading Places.
Trading Places is class alright, made even better by Jamie Lee getting the boys out
Fred Claus is currently playing here as I type, and I’m loving it.
maybe its Vince Vaughan tho’
Definately would
I’ve never seen Willie Wonka but Christmas is not Christmas without the Greats: Escape and Train Robbery, and the Godfathers.
And its not right without the box of Taytos and small bottles of tanora under the stairs either.
Die Hard is to Christmas Movies Puke, as Fairytale of New York is to Christmas songs. Unconventionally Christmas, but Christmas nonetheless.
The Italian Job
Its a wonderful life.A Great flick which really plays on the emotions. Very moving scenes when he tries to committ suicide. A real tear jerker…
you really are a pitiful individual
always sure to see films like winds and the willows and the pain sound of music over the festive season too
but cant have christmas without Home Alone…
It’s a Wonderful Life is one of my all time favourite films, never mind favourite Christmas film.
Just superb.
Nice, very true.
Watched Elf there on Sunday. First hour or so is superb but it loses its way badly.
I used love National Lampoon’s Christmas Vacation when I was a nipper. Haven’t seen it for a good few years so it could be complete shite in actuality.
Santa Clause The Movie is pretty good.
It’s not a movie but ITV or Channel 4, can’t remember which, used to show an animation called Father Christmas every year, about him going on holidays and the like and then getting set for Christmas. Doesn’t sound good but it had a nice whimsical nature about it. I think he had a Yorkshire accent. I like that sort of thing.
Bad Santa
Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory
Then you’d love StepMom. Ed Harris is in it.
And Ghost. Whoopie, Swazie, and Demi before she married a teenager. You’ll love it.
Scrooged with Bill Murrey is a decent flick

CLG is even gettin in on the act here. Look what you’ve started whiskey
Definitely Its a Wonderful Life for me. Superb piece of filmaking. Taped Miracle on 34th St over the weekend, then discovered its the remake not the original. Don’t know if I’ll bother watching it now.
Gremlins 2 is a good laugh, usually on around christmas.
