I’d say Paloma Faith got sick of the aul twirling there all the same.
Andrew’s passing has really hit me this week. He was such am integral part of the Pogues, but such a force. He really seemed to be the adult in the room and what a musician.
There was a good piece on the RTE website this week about them with a brilliant audio doco about Rum, Sodomy and the Lash, I’d highly recommend it. A Dream of Foreign Lands.
I’ve been thinking about Philip a lot this week as well. Let’s not forget he wrote TFK’s favourite song, Thousands Are Sailing. But I think this is his finest moment, Under Clearys Clock.
