Of course I can disagree with it. Doesnāt make my opinion any more valid but it is just that - an opinion.
A Pair of Brown Eyes*.
- not a Pogues devotee though.
You disagree that itās rockos favourite Pogues song?
Yeah. Itās Rainy Night in Soho. He had it as his favourite song ever in the poll you set up a couple of years back. It was also his first dance at his wedding.
Christ. Hipster Pogues fans.
Fairytale of New York.
Iām not apologising. Iām sorry but thatās just the way I am.
Donāt mind em Farmer, you won, thats all that matters on the internet.
On a Rainy Night in Soho is a perfect song. Body of an American may have overtaken it as favourite Pogues song since The Wire.
Some points.
- My first dance at my wedding was not a true indicator of my favourite song. It needed to meet the approval of Mrs Rocko, which ruled out Roll of Honour and it needed to be appropriate for a slow dance, again ruling out Roll of Honour.
- The poll a couple of years back involved lots of tactical voting. There was a discussion on that thread about it. I promoted Rainy Night in Soho believing it would gain mainstream and widespread support whereas some of the other songs in contention were divisive.
- That being said, Rainy Night in Soho is indeed my favourite Pogueās song. It was already mentioned so I thought Iād pick another one.
