February 1st

The day we celebrate rebirth and move out of the darkness.

Happy Imbolg Day to our Pagan brothers.

Happy St Brigid’s Day to our Catholics.

Life is renewing. Celebrate the new dawn.

Blessings on you all.

Bridig = Danu.

Danu (water) is the fertility goddess whose powerful energy revitalises the earth each year in spring. She married the sun god, Lugh. Bringing together light and water for crops to grow.

Beautiful. I think I’ll turn towards my Celtic pagan ancestry for 2021. I reckon paganism gonna be huge this year

Our urban school suggested using plastic straws to make St. Brigid’s crosses as part of the home schooling.

That’s the way things are gone now

Those things will last a thousand years, unfortunately

Did you tell them go and fuck or suck it up?

I omitted it from today’s class

I’ve given you a like for effort. Going forward, elastic bands are the preferred method of tying.
They’re neater looking. If you had a small tin of clear varnish I’d give them a light dusting, ‘twill preserve their colouring and durability until next year.
