I only got the update off twitter, thought it was yesterday!
The Na Piarsaigh group is still wide open heading into the last match between Douglas and Clarinbridge.
Douglas 2 wins
Na Piarsaigh 2 wins
Clarinbridge 1 win
Ballybrown o wins
If Clarinbridge can win (and it will be close) I’m not sure what happens. Nobody seems to know.
Some of the rules below!
Two teams level:

Douglas.
Only Just!
Not sure how Clarinbridge threw away that lead.
Waterford champions Abbeyside top the other group with 3 wins:)
Ballyboden up next in the semi.
I hear Crotta O’Neills from Kerry have taken the scalp of South Liberties and Pallasgreen
Did they pick up any injuries against Pallasgreen???!!!
How did inakilnamona get on?
Douglas - Ballyboden Final I believ. Hardly surprising given the ridiculous picks these clubs have.
I personally think new clubs should be formed in suburb’s like those. Anyone agree? It’s just stupid the way it works now, and you lose some amount of players, coaches and volunteers due to a population of say 40k having one club.
It would be a very rewarding, but tumultuous, project were the GAA to draw up a whole new map for clubs in urban areas. It won’t happen for 20-30 years, but it should happen.

Douglas have never been a force in Cork club hurling though? I don’t remember them contesting county finals or anything.
It’s the posh area, as soon as it gets serious the all run off playing tennis
They have been pretty successful at underage for 10 years. They had the organization of a Junior B club for years while operating at Intermediate. But Cadogans vintage and another bunch about 4 years ago out of Minir produced alot of good players.
They played in Senior Football Final a couple of years ago when Cadogan gave te most amazing losing performance I ever saw to neighbors Nemo.
Their massive problem is dual players. Their top 10 players in both sides are the same me. They got very close to Senior hurling final as well a couple if years ago, but playing every week for 6,7,8 weeks is always catching up in them.
They had a very good coach in Ronan McCarthy, now with Cork, when they got to final in football. But it’s rumored he left cos of the hurling. There seems to be a divide there.
Not entirely true. It’s a very mixed area and their GAA club would be more Village/townie like.
They all piss off to KC’s after training and get fat.
Feile is a success! Just home from the session in the local club, we had very good visitors from Tipp & Donegal.
Meanwhile at our caherdavin neighbours there was no tea and a ref had to be escorted off the pitch

Didn’t some team go on a training weekend to Portugal or something a couple of years ago for it?
Not taking Feile for what it is (a festival of hurling by definition) should be suspendable by a year. Parents and coaches can be such fucking tools at this lark.

agreed. A new rule eas introduced this year to require teams to make 5 subs in every game. Everyone knows that 2 or 3 of those will be late but it is a good idea. However two teams hit on the plan of starting and then taking off 3 players on the first break in play …

The ballymun team that won it two years ago had gone on a weeks training camp before the competition alright. Madness.
No they didn’t!
I was at a game yesterday where 3 subs were introduced 20 seconds into the game. It was ridiculous to see it really.
