Denis O’Brien wasn’t an elected official either so presumably it wasn’t in the public interest either to know what he was getting up to.
If you think Paddy Cosgrave wants to clean up politics I have some magic beans to sell you.
Cosgrave is cut from the same cloth as self styled “anti-corruption campaigners” in Brazil and Hungary who turn out to be way more corrupt than anybody they go after.
Gemma O’Doherty styled herself as an “anti-corruption warrior”, I wonder how that worked out?
They can report what they want but nobody should be in any doubt that they’re a well funded, partisan entity set up not to clean up politics but to make it far, far dirtier and more corrupt in the long run so crooks like Cosgrave can benefit personally.
They’re the same as Grift. Set up specifically to sow US style negativity and compete distrust in the whole of the political system bar extremists. Grift exists purely to serve the far right. The Ditch exists purely to serve the interests of Cosgrave and the skull and crossbones brigade who want to bring down liberal politics.
And I’d say their reporting standards are about as trustworthy as Project Veritas in the US.
Do you have anything apart from a visceral hatred for tech gemma to indicate that he has interferd in politics to the level that he who shall not be named did?
I think he either plans a career in politics where he acts as a corrupt demagogue or a career where he uses a demagogue persona to try and corruptly control politics to benefit himself.
He’s done nothing to deserve the benefit of any doubt as regards what he is.
I say what I see. When I see Cosgrave, all I see is an Irish Trump.
My strong view is that Cosgrave would likely be and already is many times more corrupt than the likes of Collins.
How has he inserted himself into public life? I wouldn’t be aware he existed apart from people reposting his tweets on here. I’ve never seen him referenced anywhere else.
