Fidel Castro

the dwarf in the aras needs to release its 2016, his Marxist bullshit has no place in 2016, this is the same as Dev sending his condolences to Germany when Hitler died

And Castro said let them have lobster. So they did and it was plentiful

It really brings home the tragic reality of life in Cuba when you look at neighbouring US satellites such as Honduras, Guatemala, or Haiti.

the lefty headbangers just canā€™t bring themselves to denounce this murdering dictator who imprisoned his own people for nearly 60 years

The 100 % literacy stat is gas . That is attainable here if the state , jailed and flogged negligent parents . Wonder do the lefties want that here ??

Can you give me the numbers on how many right wingers moved to Honduras? You can use Belize or Guatemala if you prefer.

Donā€™t the Yanks have a torture camp in Cuba?

Castro was no saint. At least not yet

No, he was a dictator who jailed poets and journalists. But when you look at hellholes that surround Cuba, with their death squads, warlords, and world topping murder rates it is hard to argue that Cuba would have been better off without him.

Jailing journalists is fine with me.

Yes and itā€™s shameful . just cos Uncle Sam does the cunt donā€™t make Castro a good guy. Whattaboutery ainā€™t appropriate here.

Not saying Castro was a ā€˜good guyā€™, Iā€™m saying that if you are to be born into any society in that region it is better to be in Cubaā€™s by a large margin. Compare Cuba to Honduras or Guatemala, not the Hamptons or Oxfordshire.

Grand so .

Michael D must be thinking about his statment ouch

Barstool lefties love Castro as he ā€œstood up to American imperialismā€.

They will forgive the firing squads, they will forgive the human rights abuses, him enriching himself et cetera for doing this.

They will try to deflect from the people forced to flee Castro celebrating by calling them all Batista loyalists to put down their suffering. Most of these people were people who simply wanted to get ahead in life and didnā€™t want their property and everything else they held dear seized from them by an unelected dictator. The fact that these people were wary of the power or government when they left Cuba, and thus supported conservative politicians drives liberal politicans and the New York Times ape so they have to be put down.

Nobody has denied that the US has supported some bloodthirsty and vile dictators over the years, all for the protection of their geopolitical aims. Of course itā€™s hypocritical but nothing is more hypocritical than your Trudeaus and Corbyns of the world giving glowing eulogies for the man. They claim to be paradigms of virtue yet will support this guy all the in the name of socialism.

When you line up a Pinochet versus a Castro in terms of brutality, itā€™s pretty funny how one is given a ā€œbalancedā€ obit whilst the other is derided as hateful and evil. The hate from the left for Pinochet has always been connected to his '73 coup against Allende (killing the Marxist dream) and his support for Thatcher. Castro though, he stood up to the imperialist West and looked cool in black and white photos on the turret of a tank. :sunglasses:

The sneering Sindo telling people what to think yet again.

Why would they? They live in the USA?

Iā€™m sure Fidel and Nelson Mandela are having an emotional embrace in the after-life, waiting for the day their good friend Gerry Adams joins them.

None of this balanced shit with Nancy Pelosi, a lot of respect to her for this.

Jill Stein, however. :expressionless:

Donā€™t forget Nelson Mandela used to be a ā€œterroristā€, mate.

It must have been really confusing for the people who called him that when they queued up to eulogise him when he died.
