The Swiss at least forced Sweden back and made them defend on the edge of their box for the majority of their match.
While I like Southgate, he is a gent and is doing a decent job, England are hamstrung by a lack of technical footballers in defence or midfield. They won’t have many better chances to make a WC final but realistically there is little between themselves, Sweden and Russia as the three weakest sides left.
Sweden look quite comfortable on the ball against them.
Sterling has been prominent so far. Bodes well for England.
