FIFA 2018 World Cup Thread

It was coming

@Sidney @gilgamboa

I’m not very good at this tech stuff - so before I go accusing @GeoffreyBoycott of anything, what day of the week and time (Irish) did the British Lions take on the Otago Highlanders in 2017?

Did he take too long there?

south american football is shite

All British Lions matches in New Zealand last year started at 08.35 GMT.

And ended at 10:15 ish? Not shabby at all being able to kick back on a Tuesday morning enjoying the sport you love.

Not great so far . I miss Chile . Liked their hardness and drive .

I like Osako up top for Japan. Scored one goal, made the penalty by just going at the defence, has set up at least one other chance and has worked his socks off. Great block on Rodriguez earlier.

Nagatomo & Inui down the left are good too.

Poland vs England so in the last 16.

I’m semi retired mate. I took in nearly two weeks of that tour in New Zealand.

Wonderful mate. And well deserved it was too.

They only come around every 12 years.

Any desire to go to South Africa in 3 years?

Not a huge amount. I’ve been to South Africa a good bit out over the years on business and its a very dangerous place now.

Mojica left-back for Colombia is a good player.

The Red army all got home safe and sound from SA this year and had a fine time by all account.

Great win for Japan … your man in Cork who cooked for the Emperor will be in fine fettle tonight.

Japan are the early head Honshus in Group H.

They manufactured a win there in typical Japanese fashion.

No surprise you’d admire the Colombians. They are horrid, feigning, cheating bastards. Imagine shouting for them over the noble Japanese.
