one of the days in first round of games had 11am, 2pm, 5pm and 8pm.
are RTE and the English channels alternating what games they are showing for clashes? I presume for instance no cunt is going to want to broadcast Arabia vs Egypt today?
RTE 2 will show 1 game and RTE news now will be showing the alternative game from the group.

I was four sheets to the wind by the time the last game came on. I have a vague recollection of it being Croatia v Nigeria. Up the following day then to watch Limerick get battered by Clare with a thunderous hangover.

they were stunning sid but the performance of the tournament was Croatia v argentina
i posted earlier about the focus on Argenina been poor and sure this was a factor but the croats were sublime
I mean Poland are poor one dimensional side who were in rag order as Brian Kerr would say but i wouldnt take that away from Colombia

Argentina were worse against Croatia than Poland were against Colombia.

i mean you look at poland last night, the amount of misplaced passes, very very slow with no threat at all up front, Lewandowski is like Tony Cascarino

Poland at least some semblance of shape. Argentina had none. If you looked at the centre of the pitch during the game against Croatia, Argentina usually had nobody to receive the ball. Argentina players ended up passing the ball straight to Croatians or out of play because they were totally confused about how they were supposed to be playing. They went from a situation where they were playing everything through the middle against Iceland to trying to play everything wide against Croatia, not knowing what they were doing, with players crowding around the periphery of the pitch.
Nigeria are a great bet to beat Argentina - they beat them 4-2 last November. Argentina are 3/1 to finish bottom of the group. Get on.

i have this little thought in my head that Mitrovic will thunder in a header on 89 minutes to win it 2-1 and all hell will break loose on the line, somewhere in the melee Matic will pole axe Neymar and Luca Milivoijevic will give a MOTM performance, the serbs will do a lap of homour afterwards that will basically double up as a nationalistc display of bravado and generation snowflake will be horrified
now this is all unlikely to happen but they dd beat brazil in the u-20 WC final a few years back,
