FIFA 2018 World Cup Thread

Croatia are overrated.

Yes.

They’re underrated and overrated by different people it seems

I think they were underrated going into the tournament as a team with potential to go deep into it.

However I think they’re now being overrated as a team with potential to reach the final or win it.

I do think they’ll win tonight but neither would I putting much money on them to do so.

England’s performance today was more impressive than anything Croatia have produced so far. I’d also wonder whether Croatia would have the genuine belief that they can win a World Cup semi-final against England. I don;t think they had it in '98 against France and that was a better Croatian team.

Big team mentality is a huge thing in World Cup semi-finals.

In the last four decades, Poland, Belgium, Sweden, Bulgaria, South Korea, Turkey and Portugal have all folded meekly enough at that stage.

Is Dunphy on the wind up?

Croatia and Belgium are the only teams left who’d beat England imo. And I fancy both of those could lose their next match

I wouldn’t fancy Lovren holding Sir Harry Kane.

Sweden brought a fantastic Brazil team to extra time losing 1-0. Nothing meek about it. South Korea same v Germany and Portugal were the better side v France in 06

Brazil beat Sweden in the 1994 semi final in the regulation 90 minutes.

Stand corrected meek it was so

And they barely had one attack over those ninety minutes. Same with South Korea in 2002.

Portugal were very meek against France in '06. Result was inevitable as soon as France scored a penalty. Portugal didn’t feel they belonged in that rarified air.

Rebic is everywhere. Enjoyable first 15 minutes.

Great player based on WC showing.

Big unit and can play

Oh my. Spy Wednesday is ON.

A worldy by Cheryshev.
