Awful miss by Jozy Altidore from six yards.
If Algeria win by one goal they need England to win by two. Or England to fail to win.
This ref is quite nice to England isnt he? Gerrard running the show, Lampard hiding.
Striker bottled that the cunt.
England need a second as I expect them to tire in the second half. Defore takes an elbow in the back of the head. Heâs up though.
David James, England no 1.
Hansen and Lineker already creaming themselves over Englandâs first half performance.
Did one of the BBC lads not say earlier that if Gerrard was on the left they could go home?
It really could go either way in the USA V Algeria game, chances at both ends.
Yeah, Dixon
I have no idea, didnât see any pre-match analysis.
âEgland have to win this easilyâ - Gilesy
âThey havenât grown in confidence since the goalâ - Dunphy
âAll the confidence has come back since the goalâ - Hansen
âMore passion, more pace, more precision, more everythingâ - Lineker
The difference in the half time analysis is fairly ridiculous at this stage. Some nerd could make a brilliant youtube clip of the contrasting views of the same game.
The RTE boys are definitely right on Rooney looks like heâs purposefully not bothering his bollix. Not chasing after he loses the ball or anything, Iâve never seen him like that. Itâs very obvious on the slow motion for the Defoe goal if you see it again. Heâs actually flat on his feet strolling into the box as Defoe darts towards the ball. Hands down by his side absolutely no urgency in him. Iâm a massive fan of his but thatâs a bad sign of him really, I donât give a fuck whatâs going on behind the scenes.
The goal obviously gave them a big lift. They had a few chances after that should have killed the game off. Hopefully Slovenia wont be as bad again in the second half. They are tidy enough in possession but lightweight as fuck and awful at centre half and in goals. Gerrard as said previously has been outstanding, JT has been good too. Milner whipped in a couple of great balls and Barry has thrived without the opposition pressing. Lampard and Rooney still not in the game though. Upson is hopeless at centre half. Defoe has given the opposition something to think about at least. Heskey was some waste of space.
I still think Crouch would have a field day against these jokers.
Clint Dempseyâs goal that wasnât was a hairâs breadth offside. Sepp Blatter is sitting beside Bill Clinton in Pretoria. His campaign for th Nobel Peace Prize is in full swing. Blatterâs that is :o
BBC commentry canât believe Glen Johnson has been booked and how the Slovenian wasnât booked instead
About time Johnson went in the book, deserved it for his early tackles. If England donât score before 60 this could get very hairy for them.
BBC maintain Rooney was on and the goal should have stood
Gas the way so many people havenât a clue about the offside rule
Itâs isnât just Rooneyâs attitude. There is something wrong with him, it has to be the altitude.
Fairly cynical foul by Gary Barry there.
