I would like to declare South Korea as the poster boys for what you donāt want in a team when you need cards in a game.
- They very rarely dive in and rely on their famed engines to hustle and harry folk.
- When tackled they are horribly honest and try their best to ride a tackle if they have been clipped and they generally do not playact or dive.
With that in mind the first game and to a lesser extent the second game were a bit of a disaster for me. South Korea gave a cowardly and despicable showing of fair play and clean tackling.
The result was a total of one yellow card. I had hoped that the incredibly outmatched Greeks would implode and resort to hair pulling or petty name calling but they didnāt.
The second game was a tame affair. Nigeria and Argentina promised much from a carding standpoint but once Rocko jinxed me with his bet I knew it would be a long match. Nobody really did much. Jonas got a yellow and I was hoping he might dive in again later on but he didnāt. Even Heinze failed to delivery any trademark tackles. 2 cards. For shame.
I missed the England game as I was being entertained by a beetle. I did catch the highlights. It was nice of the tans and yanks to help me out. They are a good bunch of lads.
