For some bizarre reason Oirish people have for years convinced themselves that Mexico is some baking hot oven. While there are certainly parts of Mexico where it gets hot, deserts in the north and tropical jungles in the south, the majority of Mexico’s large cities are in the central mountains where the climate is quite temperate year round. Mexico City is like an eternal spring day.
By comparison, most of the central and southern US would be way hotter in the summer.

Josie Maher put a rocket of a shot past a goalkeeper from Down and won a championship match against him, which makes Josie Maher of Botafogo (they’re big rivals with Banna Flamengos) the most successful Kerry footballer against Down in history.

I distinctly remember then rte pundit Ray Treacy saying Josimar sounded like he was from Tipperary after he mugged off pat Jennings with that shot. You’re uncle may have embellished Ray’s quip. Fair fucks to him if he did.

They did at the last World Cup when the auld grizzled veteran coach Fernando Santos dropped him for a 6-1 victory over the Swiss when Ramos scored the hat-trick. Then he inexplicably reinstated CR7 for the next game and they lost to Morocco.
