FIFA World Cup Final 2010 - Holland v Spain

I don’t think his confusion over the term Big 4 in terms of international football quite got the exposure it deserved. The greatest case of EPL blinkers you’ll ever see.

That was cracking stuff alright.

To answer your question, because they can. They won the Cup of course they deserve credit. They looked a better side in 2008 though. Euro 2008 was of a better standard than this World Cup also. Not sure where the EPL comes into it.

Navas was decent when he came on in the final. Utter horseshit in his other appearances. The Senna of 2008 was far superior to Busquets which is probably neither here nor there.

On your other point, yes naturally I was hoping Holland would win. Some clowns seem to have thought that Holland should have just lay down and let Spain walk all over them. Bar a couple of chances from set pieces and one where Heitinga slipped, Spain struggled to break the Dutch down in 90 mins. The Dutch were superbly set up and probably should have won the game with the two clear cut Robben chances going abegging.

wow - great stat - how many assists?

have you ever tried this exercise - write down your name in your dominant hand - then swap over to your other hand and try it again. Notice the difference? I’ll give you a hint - its perplexing.

I think your confusion over the term sarcasm is due to poor schooling.

They obviously taught you the term “backtrack” anyways

yeah you have me there

rattled, seething, backtrack, down the EPL, big up La Liga - standard TFK soccer mong posts

I think a storm off is coming.

You left out one, BADLY EXPOSED.

You simpleton.

you are easier to wind up than a LOI club EPL Runt.

I throw out a little bait on here now and again to give the football proles on here a chance - in this case something basic about the ‘big four’ that I thought was so obvious that noone would fall for. If either of you mongs had an opinion of your own it might add to the site instead of the herd like mentality that dumbs down every debate.

Has anyone else even put up what they thought was the best X1. Fitzy emailed me his one today - it had 2 right backs and all attacking midfielders. Bless him though at least he tried.

I’m off to bed. Keep it handy on the +1’s and smileys while I’m away.

i did alright

how friendly are you with fisty?

seems like fairly inane email contatc too-speculating on the best 11

Shame on all of you.Still and all…

torres isnt spains main striker, david villa is… villa has scored 43 goals in something like 67 internationals. he is only one behind raul for all time top scorer and he is still only 28. ps it took raul 105 caps to get to 44 goals. torres is a great striker but take the premiership blinkers off because villa is better. barcelona are going to be frightening this year. with the return of iniesta and the addition of villa and possibly fabregas.

They just need to ship off that long streak of Swedish piss and they’ll be sorted.

I get that, but he usually plays better off a striker with the ability to roam, and thats where he did most damage this world cup… If Torres had been fully fit they would have been a totally different force and thus they did well against the negative tactics with out a main out and out striker

Interesting enough articles about the divided loyalties in Spain. Had wondered about it a fair bit especially with so many Barca men on the team. Ironic that some reports say up to a million people marched in Barcelona on Saturday in support of Catalan independence and then the next day there were thousands on the streets waving the Spanish flags celebrating the World Cup.
