That was a stray. I don’t like cats but she’s lovely tbf.
Wexford Fleadh > Mullingar Fleadh.
By far.
160,000 people in town yesterday. 8x the population.
It’s spectacular. The narrow streets really lend itself to a brilliant setting for it
And the wide quay. And the Bull Ring. And Cornmarket.
Wexford is magnificent.
Wexford should host the next Olympics
The thought did cross my mind.
There’s a 400m tartan track in Rosslare near Kelly’s that would be ideal.
A sand based playground beside it for the beach volleyball.
Chadwicks Wexford Park for the hurling.
Ferrybank for the swimming.
Neville’s new gym for the boxing.
The ballroom in Whites Hotel for the Mickey Mouse sports.
Sorry to burst your bubble but the running track is only 200m or 300m long. We could move it to the old 400m grass track in Kilmore or the council run Tartan track in Enniscorthy
Kilmore grass track or Bree where the schools day out used to be held.
You’ll be shocked to learn I was deemed too slow to go to Bree.
Bree also have only a 300m track as they couldn’t go behind both goals with the track. Kilmore had more space though so could make their track 400m.
The breakdancing could be held in Mary Barry’s beer garden
Was there? Jesus it was extraordinary that my lift managed to find parking in the cinema car park at all.
Pot luck.
It gets full. A few cars leave and they open it again.
And repeat all day everyday.
I got in there Friday but not a hope today.
The train down from North Wexford is the job. Straight into the thick of things and no traffic considerations. A pity we couldn’t get tickets for it this year but lesson learned for next year
You managed to get tickets for the olympics but couldn’t get tickets for the train to wexford?
It’s like 10,000 spoons when all you need is a knife
