Liverpool, heading into third season after winning everything there was to win last year. Budget of 40m.
Playing a 4-1-2-1-2 formation. Have Gerrard/Hamsik/Verratti(18) for the AM role. Mascherano and Veloso for the DM role. Play a box to box midfielder but want a good passing/technically good player to hold the midfield. Iāve already made a bid for Sahin. He looks good. Witsel not bad either.
Steven Defour, Jack Rodwell, Sandro etc.
Not going to sign Rodwell as Liverpool. Sandro too defensive. Defour looks good.
Defour could be your best option, well able to pass the ballā¦
His mental stats are excellent, technical attributes a little less impressive. Sahin betters him on passing, touch, and technique. Probably a 6/7m difference in price though which may swing it in Defourās direction.
Dunph, what are your views on the right time to sell players. Gerrard is 33, will be 34 at the start of next season. Torres will be 30.
Time to cash in?
If anything i would say you have left it too late. I wouldnāt keep many players over 30 in my squads. The best thing could be to keep Gerrard to a one year rolling contract. Torres will still have two good seasons in him. If you are determined to make money from him then cash in now if you have a ready made replacementā¦
Itās not really the money. Itās more a case of how long theyāll continue to perform at their peak. Gerrard has never been that hugely important to my team, but he remains a very useful impact sub particularly in big games. Torres scored 30 league goals in 35 league games last year but has lost a point in both acceleration and pace over the last 12 months. If heās likely to deteriorate significantly over the next two years Iād rather take the cash. I have Sergio Aguero, Dzeko, Guilherme, and a wonderkid regen as options as well.

It has to be in your programs. Click on your C:drive in My Computer and look through your program files. What are you doing anyway?
