Football on TV tonight

Anyone know of a pub (preferrable south city centre) where I will definitely be able to see Milan vs. Arsenal? Most places will be showing Man Ure I presume.

Farmer on for a few pints to watch this also?

The 51 on Haddington Road off Baggot Street will be showing the Arsenal, Manchester United and Celtic matches on different screens around the bar.

Cheers Bandage. Anyone heading there for a few quiet ones?

Dunno Tinnion. Was looking forward to heading home this evening and watching RTE before flicking between all the matches, switching to Playboy TV, having a tom hank and then heading off to me leaba.

But I am always tempted by pints.

As an Arsenal fan should you not know the Arsenal pub in town?

Supporters club meet in Kate’s Cottage but I work in that general area and would rather not watch within sight of my workplace.

Do Murray’s (used to be Frazers) still show loads of games or have they changed their tack completely?

When you say ‘supporters club’ do you mean a few fellow Arsenal fans from work who go to Kate’s Cottage because the Harbourmaster is a shit place to watch a match?

I don’t know about Murray’s / Frazer’s anymore but I think I’m edging towards that Celtic tavern in town for the game later as I don’t care about any of the other matches and I’ve never seen Celtic lose in The Bridge / O’Sullivan’s / Trivia.

That’s that settled so Bandage - the Bridge it is.

superstitions and football never work

It was never going to happen in fairness.

Balls. If only you’d posted this before 6pm last night I could have saved myself a trip into town.

What are you getting on your high horse about?

They were never going to do it.

Smashing pub the Bridge was though. 1 big screen downstairs, 1 huge tv and about 8 smaller tvs. Decent crowd in and a reasonable atmosphere - restrained a bit by the early goal. A world away from Frazers.

I’ll second that. The Bridge was an excellent venue and all the screens are well placed and there’s loads of different vantage points and plenty of space around the pub too. Good singsong after the game with two Japanese lads in Naka 25 jerseys belting out the Celtic songs.
