Footix of the Day

You sure?

This is the proper thread for this discussion

:joy::joy:

The mind boggles…

Yes. The guy who set up Liverpool was an orange man. The fact that he was the chairman of Everton and split from the club because of a rent dispute is evidence that Everton was a Catholic club :joy:

Correct; Liverpool didn’t sign an Irish Catholic player until 1979

Steve Heighway played for Liverpool before that?

Have a copy amongst my LFC titles too pal. The mother would still buy me an auld book for the Christmas.

Hopefully there’ll be a new one out for Santy called THIS MEANS MORE celebrating the 2023/24 season.

They had to be Irish catholic, no other Catholics would do? :joy:

Was Steve Heighway not an Irish Catholic who played for Liverpool well before 1979?

The only acceptable reason to research the schooling of famous people is to establish how many points they got in the Leaving Cert

Elite footixing is a huge commitment. God- when I started you could just do the sports in the Star, get the transfers, few quotes, read Dunphy…now there’s so much to keep up with including youtubers, twice-weekly press conferences, Football Manager type scouting.
