i see the footix are now descbing someone as a great player based on the number of scans they make per game.
- Pre-Receive Scan Rate (PRSR): Scans in the 5 seconds before receiving the ball.
- Total Scan Rate (TSR): Scans per minute during active play.
- Effective Scan Rate (ESR): Scans that lead to successful decisions (e.g., progressive passes, escapes from pressure).

Dean Saunders doesnt like the footix either. He’s not wrong. Also the way people talk about positions now by numbers rather than positions.

Our lads (2014) mostly know positions by their computer name…
I asked one of our chaps what was his favourite position and he goes “CDM”. Took me a second to realise he want to be midfield.

It’s a long season lads and we don’t expect ye to get everything. A lot of footix skipped the club world cup so we can be able to go right through to the World Cup in July where we can pick out James Rodriguez types for our footix affiliates rather than support Ireland.
