Nah, he had not been told of Max making way so he probably thought another safety car had been called for.
Either way, max slowed down in a poor section of track and moved once Hamilton tried to pass him.
As I said, no fan of Hamilton but Max has been acting the dangerous cunt recently

Verstappen is acting very similarly to the way vettel did when he was at red bull. horner seems to be quite the cunt.
Verstappen should’ve been black flagged for not ceding position the first time

Dangerous is a bit much, he has been acting the cunt alright. That’s his only option seeing as the Mercedes is a decent bit faster on Sundays now.
Don’t forget the most dangerous maneuver this year was done by Hamilton in Silverstone

Max sounded to me a little like a fella who was unravelling under the pressure a bit.
I dislike Lewis Hamilton immensely but it made no sense for him to hit Verstappen

Exactly, why didn’t he go round him?. Max was off the racing line, had dropped 4 gears and left plenty of room. If Max had a gearbox/engine problem that forced him to slow down, would Hamilton have ran into the back of him then ?
Above all else that part just doesn’t make any sense, any time a puncture happens or a mechanical fault every driver immediately passes the ailing car, Hamilton was absolutely playing games as was Verstappen over the DRS detection line that was a few meters ahead. I think Lewis was certainly part of the problem in that incident

I think he’s a breath of fresh air, similar to when a young German arrived on the scene in 1991 and decided he was going to race hard against the established drivers and took zero prisoners on his way to 7 world championships.

The sport has fundamentally changed since Austria 2019, the ruling that day encouraged hard racing far beyond what was acceptable before. The drivers all came out and said they much preferred it and all was good. Right up until drivers pushed it to the edge and then Masi started shitting the bed with inconsistent direction. It’s been a mess this year and it’s a massive problem

He braked after scrubbing off approx 100mph, it’s not like he braked a few meters in front of him at full speed. Hamilton had plenty of time to go around him but chose not too for the obvious DRS reason. I can’t understand how they both got to finish the race after that collision though
Hamilton has done this before, he has plenty of previous being right on or over the edge on restarts and position changes. All the drivers do it to some degree if they are fighting for a win or championship.
It’s F1 racing, every edge is chased and they do anything for performance. That’s why you need strong stewarding and race direction, the stewards have been castrated in the past couple of years coincidentally as Liberty have been improving “the show” forgetting that the drivers are psychopaths in the car.
There are also very real questions about Mercedes favouritism from the FIA, not saying they were here but they certainly have been this year with rule changes to pit stops and rear wings that made no sense to be introduced mis season and there was no precedent for. Both things were detrimental to Red bull more than anyone else
