Anyway, there was no negotiation, Massi gave them the option of taking up the penalty he thought fit or else send it to the race stewards, which 100% would’ve resulted in a harsher penalty at the time. The fact Massi had forgotten the Ocon was actually leading at the time was a bit embarrassing for him and had to admit he hadn’t thought of that

In Brazil and yesterday he braked so late he was never making corners thus running his opponent off track. Twice he has done it plus he landed his car on top of Hamilton earlier in the season going for a gap that wasn’t there.
Hamilton definitely pinched him in Silverstone but not at all in the way Max has done in past two races.
Silverstone was extremely dangerous as it was such a High Speed corner and that’s exactly why it was questioned by most observers why either were so inclined to commit into it as they did.

You could argue Alonso defended equally against Hamilton trying to keep him at bay from Ocon in Hungary.
Difference in Max & Alonso is the Spaniard uses the track legally, Hamilton eventually passed as Fernando out-braked himself trying to stay ahead.

Hamilton had absolutely nothing to achieve by crashing into Max.
That in itself makes all comments otherwise null & void.
That incident only helped Max if it ended up with Lewis or both out.
Thats all correct and it’s not my view that he ran into him intentionally. He knew Max was slowing dramatically and also knew passing him before the DRS line would give Max the advantage straight away. In my view Hamilton didn’t know what to do and when Max braked to slow even further, Hamilton had nowhere to go and no time to react. I agree with you about Verstappen being over the edge at times but he wasn’t at fault there, maybe other times during the race and was penalised for it. F1 have been handed a life line in Max Verstappen after 7 boring years of Mercedes domination. He’s finally gotten a car that can compete and he’s not only doing that with what is currently an inferior car but is smashing the “after you sir” type of racing that F1 has become known for it. Liberty media will have no complaints about Max Verstappen you can be sure.

Max & Red Bull knew the mediums were the wrong tyre, he had pace early on but they were going to fall off a cliff which they did.
Max got too cute, panicked as his break away speed showed after the impact.
Max is the future but he’s fucked his chance for 2021 now.
