It was touching to read the naive predictions of 3-2 scorelines etc before the match. This is now turning into the typical dirge that most knockout ties, and especially finals, in major international tournaments over the last two decades have turned into.
Thank God Ronaldo went off, if only for the reason that there wouldn’t be much to talk about feom this match otherwise.
