France Versus Ireland Second Leg

[FONT=Helv][SIZE=2][FONT=Helv][SIZE=2]So we’re criticising a young, relatively inexperienced defender because he got the runaround off one of the best forwards in world football? Some people know fuck-all about football.

Yes. He’s shit.

Who are we supposed to blame for him being so shit? His parents

is there such a thing!!

If the shoe had been on the other foot & Robbie did it, we’d be all celebrating the Hand of Rob. Anyway, we still would’ve had to go through a peno shoot out anyway - who’s to say we’d have won that?

Think we need to get over this shit pronto. Could the Clare or Limerick boys not strike to take the focus off this shit?

Apparently the only way soccer can survive as a game is if the game is replayed. Does this mean they’ll just stop playing it?

Duffers oul lad is on now

Limerick people are a fiercely proud group. Whether that pride is misguided or not is another thing!

Do these people not realize no one else gives a fuck

Most people know fuck all about football.

Even leaving aside how uncomfortable McShane was in open play, not defending the set piece that led to the goal properly was criminal. Never let the ball bounce, sure Bull Hogan taught us that back with the u-10’s.

 Insult a Limerick man and find out.

[FONT=Helv][SIZE=2][FONT=Helv][SIZE=2]There was a Limerick flag taking pride of place outside the Moulin Rouge yesterday

I wonder are the people whinging about McShane the same people who were raving about him on the basis of one or two games around the time we played the Czechs at Landsdowne

Yeah but he was deadly then. That’s the way things work with the masses in this country.

McShane is shite-he’s better than Keane though.

its farcical people going on about Henry being a cheat and how the game should be replayed. sure every player that ever fouls then is a cheat unless the referee gives a free. Keane handled the ball 4 times. Is he therefore a cheat too? as Henry said, it aint his fault the ref didnt give the free.

Precedence was also set on this when Raul scored for Real against Leeds with a handball effort in the CL semis. He got a suspension over that. But yet if the ref did his job properly, all that would happen would be a yellow card and a free. ridiculous arguments.

my only gripe is with Blatter and Platini and the ref.

Sledge, McShane has had one good game for Ireland, when he marked Koller out of it that night against the Czechs. Koller still managed to score though, following a mistake from McShane.

Since then he’s been too accident prone. He’s liable to do anything. Remember against San Marino away I think he poleaxed his own keeper for them to score. He’s been shown up numerous times in the EPL for both Sunderland and Hull. I don’t remember a single other game he played well in or didn’t make some kind of clanger.

He played one game for Sunderland when they lost 6 - 1 and he was directly responsible for 5 of the goals conceded. He was badly, badly out of his depth last night. We had nothing on the bench bar Stephen Hunt and Trap couldn’t use him as impact sub as he had two subs used due to injuries.

McGeady was also shown up to be a nothing player last night also.

Yes, the real cheat last night was Robbie Keane
