They were very heavy to be lugging around on your feet.
I bought a pair of ECCO ones when I had a job spending all day on my feet. They weren’t especially stylish but they were wicked comfy. I wore them.out.

God they were disgusting shoes but we all wore them in the late 80s for a while
Clarks have some nice casual shoes almost trainer like
