Rick Astley is on the Late Late tonight and he’ll be performing one of his classic hits.
A medley of his greatest hit
Can’t believe people like Bruce Hornsby. It’s an awful dirge.
That’s just the way it is.

Last TOTP of the 80s
Somebody yesterday mentioned the greens at Augusta looked a bit burnt and it brought to mind the video for this song, what with Georgia being a great oul’ place for burning crosses.
This brought to mind that the song had a very good bassline which would be fun to learn to play. It is not fun to learn but now that I’m able to do a rudimentary version of it without most of the fills, I can say it is very fun to play and makes you very aware of just how good a song it is, not that I wasn’t aware anyway, but anyway.
I’m listening to it and playing along with it while half watching Rory McIlroy rip up Augusta.
All of Ireland is offering up a prayer for Rory right now.
Like A Prayer
If you’d like to learn it yourself you can watch this video with the man who played it, who is named Guy Pratt, which is ironic because Madonna later married a guy called Guy who turned out to be a prat.
Interesting show on BBC2 now
30 hits of 1988 on the BBC
1989 was a vintage year for “sassy™” female pop rappers. There was the great Neneh Cherry, there was Betty Boo doin’ the do, there was the Technotronic rapper Ya Kid K who was not in the video for Pump Up The Jam. There was also Leila K, and this is great.
