Funeral etiquette

I had a run of a lot of funerals when i was in my late teens/early 20s so no i didnt, but thereā€™s plenty that would. i was just affirming with fagan.

surely youve seen enough of it yourself?

I have but I just find it strange that people would even question such an obvious thing.

theres nowt as queer as folk

Im going to go against the grain a bit here. Personally, I could not care less what people wear to a funeral, doubt it matters to the deceased or to close family members.

I also dislike the traditional irish funeral. Tbh, I would only want to see immediate family and close friends. Each to their own though.

Is there the smell of campfire about ye?

Nope.

Fair enough. More a settled traveller then?

ā€œdied in the loving care of the matron and staffā€ ā€¦yeah right

No

OK. How about a settled family who did a wee bit of travelling?

I agreeā€¦ For family Iā€™d suit up but other than that it would be smart casā€¦ Nothing to do with respect, shur arenā€™t you there saying your goodbyes.

Iā€™ve been lucky enough on the loss front tho so Iā€™ve never been on the other end but I presume the gesture is more important that the attire.

Nope. I still remember one cunt that looked liked heā€™d been pulled through a bush at a recent family funeral. State of the cunt.

An associate of @Mac turned up hammered at my motherā€™s funeral. He was wearing a suit but looked like heā€™d slept in a bush the night before. I havenā€™t forgotten it on either count.
