Funeral etiquette

Is there a name for it The Dunph?

We used to just call it ā€œmass incenseā€ Clarkey. I somehow got the word mixed up with ā€œincestā€ when i was younger. ā€œWill i get the incest father?ā€.

Itā€™s called incense, Clarkey. Thatā€™s itā€™s name

A family row broke out in a mortuary in Gort a few years ago. The corpse left one hell of a cuntish will after him by all accounts!

Left the family home to one of his drinking buddies!

What are the views on cremation on this thread?

I wish to be cremated. One tenth of my ashes shall be given to my agent, as written in our contract.

I was at a cremation once. Very very strange atmosphere. The coffin, which has been sitting on the alter for the ceremony as per usual, is lowered through a trap door or some sort and just disappears. Didnā€™t really know what to be doing with myself after that happened.

The strange thing is that they arenā€™t even cremated then , they have to wait until there are a few corpses together before they fire up the burners as it is too expensive to do it for one. So the body could be lying around for a week or so after the ceromony.

:o

For real?

How fcuking expensive can it be to torch someone?

Iā€™m usually such a composed and placid individual in public situations but when it comes to funerals I am a bumbling wreck. I thanked a neighbour for coming to visit her husbandā€™s corpse last night. A real low point for me. Had to go out and get myself pissed after that mishap.

You have great auld chats with people at funerals. I had great bit of banter with Pilesā€™ dad at the last wake I was at. We concluded, rightly of course, that a particular woman living in Callan is the greatest cunt to ever grace Gods earth.

  Pilesā€™ auld bouyā€¦

Urban funerals are much duller affairs than rural funerals, jeasus a local funeral is three days drinking at least and these is always the chance of a dispute over land which goes to blows rather than court

yes- muldoons are vile creatures- if travellors behaved in the way described above muldoons would be outraged

Lads whats the story with funeral etiquette across the water, how long after death will the funeral be held, this is a seroious matter as mrs turfcutters aunt passed away and a large estate has to be devided not like the walking around money lads talk about here

Can be anything up to a week in the UK before the wake and burial.

fuck sake it will be christmas so

depends on the circumstances of death, my uncles took 4 weeks.

At least a week.
