Fisherman from Kilmore went missing off his boat off the coast this way yesterday evening. A lad Iād know was back home and went out to help with the dive to find him and not sure what happened but he unfortunately died out on the water. He had got numerous bravery awards for saving people and was also involved and survived an incident where a car ran him over. When you see the bad rap of some gardai, to see a genuine decent garda lose his life trying to rescue someone is just really sad. 4 children too, tough on his family.
