The question of personal responsibility is an absolutely valid topic to debate. In fact I would say developing personal responsibility at as young an age as possible is the most important thing for any person. Society has the obligation to look after those that can’t help themselves, such as the mentally ill for example, but why does that extend to people who are not willing to take any personal responsibility and regard the government as something that should take care of their every need?
