GAA All Star awards - sponsored by Ferrero Rocher. The chocolate of champions

Northern sounding name. Monaghan or Tyrone would be my guess.

I remember a few years ago there was also a round of “it’s so unfair the advantages Dublin have…some of their players don’t even have to work because they’re getting money/cars from sponsors and endorsements” etc. I think it was Senan Connell (may have been Ciaran Whelan actually) defending the Dubs and he said, “Cian O’Sullivan works in PwC. Do you think he can wander in every morning at 11am with a copy of the Daily Star under his arm?” Eh…

Does Ciaran Whelan have a sister in PWC?

Let me ask around in here and get back to you.

:joy:

Was Buckley really one of Kilkenny’s best this year? Thought he was well off his usual standards.

Jack Browne not nominated and McInerney was?

I suppose there’s always a few funny calls.

That was a nice price on Cian Lynch back in early June.

Joe Canning goes missing in the second half of at least three games and gets a nomination.

Jokeshop.

The Dow was hard done by - should have gotten a nomination at least, he had a very (huge/big/large) significant impact on the championship this year.

Fat chance. (He’s not fat i’m only having a joke)

A bit shocked 2 Wexford lads got a nomination

Buckley was alright.

Tokenism and just filling in numbers

He certainly had a big impact on the U13 hurling championship cc @ciarancareyshurlingarmy

Ryan was probably worth it

If Maurice shanahan got nominated last year than Dowling deserved one on that basis.

Did he get nominated he get nominated last year?

Some joke of awards really

I’m also certain he did.

He was not.
