As I said during the summer I think everyone is judging Kelly by his own standards rather than the All-Star options as a whole. 6 points from play in the quarter-final (admittedly against 14 man Wexford), came up with big power plays in the latter stages against Kilkenny and delivered a virtuoso display in the final. It’s not like he was horrendous in Munster either.

Just read it there. He is mentioned. They got the numbers wrong though, six Clare, five Cork, three thelimericks
Not in the print version anyway.
I actually would have found a (poor) reason not to give him one. He was undoubtedly the best player, but anyone who says sport and society are separate is wrong in my opinion. They are intimately intertwined.

I think David Fitz was probably the most fortunate all star for Clare, he was very prominent in the final but even then he hit half a dozen terrible wides. He had a solid twenty minute spell against Cork the first day but aside from that I don’t think he had any other above average performances and was well below the level he hurled in 2022.
There were probably half a dozen teammates who were more consistent or gave bigger performances throughout the championship that David Fitz but Fitz had a fine ability to take scores when the game isn’t particularly running his way. I think the lack of TK and Taylor in the team the first half of championship hampered him as his style is suited to dropping into space and taking pop passes off lads who are carrying ball
He could absolutely clean someone and take them for ten points some day. A fella to be feared.
Watching the All Stars on record now . A very disappointing end to the season for Cork but then you’re reminded we stopped @thelimericks doing the five in a row and you’d be cheered up again
