GAA All Star Wars

Holy shit, Dublin are going to appeal any suspension handed down for McMahons eye gouge. Ridiculous.

I’ve read all the colour pieces with Philly McMahon over the past 7-10 days and I can confirm he’s a very good guy. Some very bitter and vindictive posts on this thread today.

As Eamon Dunphy said to Billo once, “Thats what PR is for baby, and you know all about PR”

+1

Philly is sound. The people moaning here come across as the type of guys who would be cribbing to the ref all game.

Muldoons are losing it.

Quote the contrary, I was admitting my admiration for the Dublin PR machine. Great work, is it O Keeffe?

The GAA Championship should be condensed into 10-12 weeks.

No replays, just extra time. All provincial games ran on simultaneous weekends.

For example Ulster quarter finals all played on a Saturday/Sunday on weekend.

Two week break then semi-finals, ditto final.

Losers go straight into qualifier round the following week. Provinces will be grouped together with the losers in each province playing off with each other to determine who advances eg. Ulster and Munster are grouped together with one team coming in from Leinster to balance things up.

Harsh on some of the young Limerick lads who deserved a nomination at least. Harnedy and Kelly a bit dubious I think.

I’ve just realised the Limerick saviour wasn’t nominated at all, seems harsh alright.

6 Waterford backs nominated is hilarious.

They were really scraping the barrel looking for a few token players from outside the semi-finalists to include there.

They should have included Henry Shefflin for the craic.

They still ignored Limerick.

Like Donegals full back line getting All Stars, or Kieran McGeeneys noms and wins, given the protection they got it would have been criminal not to look good.

Like women and make up on a night out.

Tony Kelly pure class

Teege is long since retired. Not eligible

The Clare lad, the Dub, your man from Cork and half of the Waterford lads

A few token nominations from tip and Waterford.
