GAA Betting 2014

It’ll be hard ignore Picky Maher after he wins MOTM in the Leinster Hurling final.

Think Kildare should beat Meath in the Christy ring cup semi today. Meath have had a very soft run to get to here, beating a Down team who seem to be well out of sorts and a Mayo team who are getting a tonking in the other semi off Kerry. Kildare had to go to a replay to beat Wicklow before Kerry gave them a trimming, they had a comprehensive win over Derry the last day out. They were 6/4 at the start of the week but the bookies have flipped it now and they are 10/11 favs in most places. Still available @11/10 on betfair. Worth a few quid @ evs or above.

Kerry would beat the pick of the two in the final but they are already 1/8

O Donnell

:rolleyes: Took the guy you were touting for all star full back for 3 goals in the all Ireland final

3.03

The three goals was a mugging off. Tacking on three points made it good and proper.

He had a great day, he is not a great hurler though. Will hardly make the Clare team so really can’t understand someone considering putting money on him to win an award.
Only one of those goals was O Neills fault.

Tipp -4
laois +11
fermanagh -1
Antrim +7

again, harmless bet.

fermanagh should be bigger favorites based on league form. They also scored plenty of goals. That probably means 0-10 to 0-8 to Antrim.

limerick still 16/5
H/C is 5

what’s a harmless bet as opposed to a “bet”?

Think Antrim are great value against Fermanagh today.

A nephew of a forum member is playing for Antrim today so Im hoping they do the business.

Anything stand out as obvious value this weekend? 6 football and two hurling matches.

Would it be lunacy to back Offaly +13 at 10/11 in Nowlan Park? Kilkenny missing a few… Kilkenny 1/50 for it.

I think Armagh, Longford and Louth are the value bets in the football.

kilmacud crokes 4/1 for Dublin senior hurling champo…I’m on!

Brian Whelahan strikes me as a man who hasn’t a clue what he is doing. Kilkenny might be missing a few but I think I saw somewhere else that Offaly have 8 changes from the team that ran Kilkenny close last year. I would be very surprised if they made any game of it whatsoever

Their defence looks absolutely dire. It depends how ruthless Kilkenny are but hurling in Kilkenny is on the wane.

Kilkenny by 16.
