Hup, great call. I’m always slow to back big handicap football bets, but stuck a few quid on. Is Sigerson being played under the new rules?
It will surely take the bookies a while to adjust the handicap lines to the new rules.
Old rules in Sigerson this year
Soft cunts
I was humming and hawing until I checked Twitter and saw ATUs warm up involved the good old truck and trailer
Such horseshit. You have players alternating between new and old rules. For a Mickey Mouse tournament
Was down in Grangegorman watching the TU v UCG game. Very much old rules fare, defences were on top. Fair play to TU for coming back and grinding out the win. For the neutral, it was a hard watch, hopefully the new rules will make the game more of a spectacle.
Thought UCG were very negative, afraid to kick the ball, sideways and backways was their default setting. 15 yard kickouts then back to the fly goalie, the game is gone, glad they’re doing something to breathe life into it.
Sigerson is a competition which in general has had the life sucked out of it. The like of McStay holding Ryan O Donoghue, one of the best footballers in Ireland, for what so he can play in a league game in two weeks time. All these big names only have a scholarship because they’re there to play Gaa then they’re prevented from representing the college that basically pays for them half the time. Two more young lads stopped from playing for Sligo during the week who probably wont be near a championship squad come the Summer.
Shoulda remained a blitz
Kerry lads pulled too.
They should play it over a weekend in America during the summer, sure all the young lads are out there anyway
Sure they pulled out of last year’s championship as well
Make the most sense. The GAA season went to shit when they made a big deal out of this wank. Anyone who knows anything knew the weekends were the thing that made it
I agree the weekends were a great thing but they can’t even find a weekend for it now, thanks to the split season.
Not allowed play Club League or Divisional Championship either.
All to feed the inter county beast.
It’s player welfare, I’m surprised you haven’t blamed the split season for the middle east conflict…
Listen, fuck off with your split season cuntfuckery here chief.
The college finals weekends were the making of young college lads, there was never a bit of harm out of it and in fact players thrived on it.
I agree with you on the weekend but they can’t even find one now that they’ve squeezed the National League in by the end of March instead of the end of April.
They got rid of the weekends before the split season…
It was there in 2017 anyway which in my opinion was the last full fat GAA Calendar Year.
They made a fuck of everything after that.
