Picked up an injury midweek. Nothing serious, but out for today.
Who’s making that call? It’s a serious load to be placing on the two lads alright.
If they play both then you’re looking at 4 championship games in less than 11 days, not possible. The round 1 loss to Limerick in the u20 could potentially mess up Tipps best chance of silverware.
It’s a lot of hurling alright. Id nearly go the other way and rest them for the senior.
Tipp could still easily win that u20 championship.
Will Offlay play the lads for the 3rd time in a week?
This is the pragmatic approach. The u20 is their grade and should take precedence for now.
There’s too many games between all these Round Robins and the Offaly situation is a warning with them all getting injured but this is the wrong call.

Tipp could still easily win that u20 championship.
It’s set up in their favour with the 2nd playing 3rd for a place in the final, Clare who are strong should beat them without the 2 lads in Ennis but Tipp should still have enough for Wford in Thurles with them returning.
I think the draw the other night suited Tipp and its quite likely a win over Waterford in the last match should be enough to sneak through in third, but its not a mathematical guarantee either.
I wouldn’t be throwing them in against the Limerick’s in Senior. I said it before the League match against them that the most important thing from that match was that our young side came home safe and sound. Its important to remember that these people are dangerous.
Yeah 19 is a bit young, unless you’re a physical freak, to be playing senior these days. Another year at the grade, say something crazy like an u21 grade, could make bridging the gap easier
It’s still open enough that no one is either through or out, and competitive enough that no one can assume they’ll win any game. Exactly what you want from a championship

Yeah 19 is a bit young, unless you’re a physical freak, to be playing senior these days.
That’s it in a nutshell. CON and SOB were bigger and better than than the Tipp lads at that age and struggled.
SOF and Dmc both struggled physically last weekend.

I’ve had a bad week with Waterford u20s and a few other things going against me like the Waterford seniors last 15 mins in both games costing me massive net difference. I’m sure if you look back on previous wins there was elements of luck thrown in.
I think I can break this duck with Offaly u20 hurlers -8 which is big bet territory for me again. This game is not knockout v Laois but it will save Offaly having to play in a prelim quarter final should they win. With so many players on the senior squad this is important.
On minor form, this is a repeat of the 2022 Leinster minor final that Offaly won comfortably enough in front of a massive crowd.
That Laois team defeated KK in the Leinster semi final but the unfortunate truth is that they haven’t pushed on like Offaly have.
Last year KK exacted revenge at u20 level when they beat them by 14, Offaly beat them by 1-28 to 2-9 in the knockout match.
This year they were beaten by 1-28 to 0-7 in a first round hammering to Galway. Even on the challenge match circuit prior to this championship they have struggled. Ger Quinlan and Cuddy at 6/sweeper are there senior players but not enough others have really pushed on compared to Offaly.I didn’t see Galway v Offaly the 4-17 to 0-19 win for the tribesmen flattered Galway as Offaly gave away two soft goals and had some misses as per all the match reports out there. Screeney is named to start and they have other savage players in Shirley, Kavanagh, Rigney and Ravenhill. Caelem Larkin is another injury that returns.
I was going to go in on Offaly anything up to -15 so am absolutely delighted with the -8 BF have put up hence the bigger than usual points.
Went in near my max bet territory for that and although it wouldn’t have cleared the -15 we got over the -8 handy. Needed that win helped by a traditional Laois red card.
Wicklow won handy
Ffs. Roscommon lose by 7
Line went to +8 but I had it backed at +7
Tipp u20 footballers are decent this year by their standards and available at 80/1 to win Munster. They are 50/1 for the all Ireland which suggests it could be an error.
They are playing cork tomorrow in a de facto semi final. Cork were very poor last week v Kerry.
Tipp were beaten by 12 to Kerry but caused them problems missing 3 goal chances. They’ve deadly inside forward in Daithi Hogan who’ll trouble any defence.
80/1 in a three horse race is worth the price of a pint.
What price are they to beat Cork tomorrow night?
10/3 with Boyles which is not bad, might be bigger with PP tomorrow
There’s your bet.
We’ve been rode bareback here.
Controversial last gasp free for Cork to draw and send Cork through.
Tipp should have won in any case.
Unlucky excellent tipping as usual, very close to the jackpot
