GAA betting 2024/25

Westmeath couldn’t beat Kerry or Down last year in championship all the same.

KK have went full strength away to Antrim and if they put up any type they of performance I can see this getting ugly for the hosts.

Antrim lost by 11 away to Wexford last week with an extra man for the majority of the game. They have lost a lot of quality up front in recent years with Cunning, McManus & even Ciarán Clarke gone. The Elliot’s are decent but they’re reliant on Molloy & McNaughton to score.

KK have the type of forwards that will go for goals in Billy Ryan, Mossy Keoghan, Eoin Cody, Stephen Donnelly unlike other forward lines that might tap over points.
I know there is the whole Corrigan park thing and it’s why the spread is only -15 but I’m not so sure how much that’s there for the real top tier 1 teams. Waterford trashed Antrim in the league and so did Galway last year in the championship.

I’ve 3 points on KK -20 @ 3/1.

They beat them by 17 up there two years ago 5-31 to 3-20, no Davey side will be hitting 3-20.

What firm have -20 option?

Boyles have the alternative handicaps

I think the -20 is too much to ask of KK here

Sure come here. Where’s the I knew this was a bad idea as soon as it happened thread

Davy is probably setting out with his prime objective being to lose by less than 20.

-15 is the safe play 10/11 but the 3/1 on -20 is huge, if KK get off to a fast start it could be anything. I’m more than willing to give up the difference for triple the price.

Small bets on Patrick Curran who I think is overpriced & Jake Morris goal markets.

Choney is out, but Clare are out to 1.74 on BF now after being around 2/5 earlier in the week. Are we at the point where it’s time to step in?

I went -17 on PP and got 13/10 which wasn’t generous but profit anyway

Got caught there but had Waterford at 9/4 so a nice loss this week all the same, those goal scoring bets not doing me any favours. The ones I am picking aren’t landing and others like Oisin Kelly & Sampson are coming in.

Offaly -3 today v Dublin in the u20.

Screeney is back for Offaly and although they are down Ruari Kelly who’s good it’s nothing like Dublin who are down David Purcell and Conor newton up top.

Dublin only beat Antrim by 4-10 to 2-19 there last week. Offaly won well v Laois and the scoreboard didn’t do them any justice in loss to Galway.

This game was supposed to be in Parnell but is now in newbridge which is another help for Offaly.

I put the hours into this selection and when I saw Laois defeating Wexford I was delighted with the form line as Wexford had beaten Dublin.
Depth chart for Offaly just wasn’t there and once Dublin got that fluky goal they were way better.

Lost a good chunk on this, probably a warning whenever betting on smaller pooled sides underage that missing 3 players and fitness is far more of an issue than it is for KK/Tipp/Galway that have depth.

Tipp are 21/10 outsiders v Clare on Saturday, at most Tipp are 6/4 shots imo given Clare’s form and injury profile currently. Tipps record v clare is fairly good, even last year they were close in that dead rubber game minus SOD going to town they could have won that game.

I expect that price to be much lower come throw in and if you see all the Clare big guns back you can always cash out.

The traditional HTFT is 11/2 too at which I’ve invested.

Small stakes on the various margins for Tipp over 6 pts.

Wexford at 11/4 to win seems like a great bet. That Galway defensive spine is there to be taken apart and with Whelan going badly by his standards this year you’d give the strawberries a great shout.

Wexford are dogshit.

Wexford hammered essentially the same Galway panel last year with a man down. Looked horrible against KK and ropey enough for long spells against a disappointing Biffo outfit.

Wexford looked at Dublin destroying them in the air in the full back line for over 50 minutes & continued throughout to concede the puck out so the Dublin goalie could do that silly one-two with a defender, emerge unimpeded to his 21, & repeatedly launch longs balls over our half back line & on top of our overmatched full back line. A blind man with no interest in stick hurling who wasn’t even in the ground, or maybe even the country, would have seen enough to make personnel & tactical changes way earlier. We’re both fairly harmless in truth but you’d wonder what the management team & eyes in the stand were looking at the last day. Galway have a manager who’s been over course & distance & he usually got the better of Wexford, in both his Galway & Dublin days.

Long term bet here but i cannot believe the odds in Cork Senior A hurling championship. Bishopstown who would be in my 2 favourites for relegation are favourites. Blarney who are down Padraig Power 2nd favourites and Castlelyons who have lost every league game 3rd in the betting. Some serious odds in Kileagh at 17/2 who have Barry Walsh and a few other talented young lads added to their squad. AllI Ireland intermediate champions Watergrasshill at 10/1 are a serious side but have a tough group with Bride Rovers and Blarney. I would have Carrigtwohill at 14/1 miles ahead of Bishopstown.
