GAA betting 2024/25

Yeah definitely, hes such an obvious weak link. They did bite the bullet towards the end and swap the 2 of them, but that being said, James didnt cover himself in glory yesterday either. They’ll probably try to placate the Mccarthys by letting Jason stay 6 until the knockouts, which may lead to a disaster in the groups. They have CQ and Broadford in the Park, and Jason was in bother mobility wise in Tulla yday, let alone in the Park. Hed probably be on Jack O Neill and Niall O Farrell/Henry Moloney(think thats his name) respectively, and them lads can all move. Hegarty isnt hugely mobile himself, but hes way more so than Mccarthy and hes levels above as a stickman

Some Derek/Derrick fella on Clare FM fairly went through Inagh Kilnamona for a shortcut this morning. Basically called them bottlers. Still better for that to happen now and not in three months.

This was streamed yesterday i believe. Are Clare on Clubber this year?

Derek Dormer is assume - he does a bit of co commentary on Clare fm and Clare gaa streaming. No idea of his background but he has a high opinion of himself

From Clarecastle?

He basically said if Clarecastle had the hurlers Inagh have, they’d have won multiple Canon Hamilton’s by now.

In fairness this is probably correct

And/ or derrick lynch ?

is that not a bit of an if my auntie had balls she would be my uncle type analysis

and when did Clarecastle last win multiple championships?

Dormer comes out with plenty of off the wall comments from my experience listening to the champion chatter podcast. I recall one day he tried belittling Ballygunner and making Clonlara favourites to beat them in a Munster final. Ballygunner went on to win by close to 20 points.

Nah Clare still going their own route with streaming. Deirdre Murphy has no interest in giving rights to a Third Party

Last senior was in the mid 00’s.

They are a middling Intermediate team now.

Clarecastle got to a Minor A final under Dalo around 2012 with Bobby Duggan at the heart of it and they didn’t improve at senior at all after it.

not much to shout about there, cant see how they are in anyway relevant to the Inagh debate

Tyrone to score 2 goals. 23/10. Theyll know they need to go at Kerry and that kerry can be got at. They scored 2 against them in the league. Their forwards cant be as quiet as they were against dublin.
23/10 is a great price imo

Looking at the hurler of the year odds and I’m surprised to see Brian Hayes particularly at 5/4, and Connolly a bit surprising next best at 3/1. If you were to fancy Cork to win it out then the hurler of the year will be one of theirs. I’m fairly sure Shane Barrett early season was Corks shortest player in this market but he’s now 45/1? All it would take is a MOTM performance and it would surely be his. Also interesting is Fitzgibbon at 7/1 and Horgan at 10/1. These two prices would interest me more than Hayes and Connolly.

For Tipp it would likely be between Morris 14/1 or John McGrath 20/1 if they won it. Forde is their shortest priced player at 8/1.

Hayes a dead cert barring a Hoggy masterclass ina dramatic win

God I don’t see it as Hayes being a dead cert and Hoggie being only one can stop him.

If Fitzgibbon was MOTM for example it’s his. Hes had a great year.

If the Tipp full back line was to malfunction & Cork put a couple of goals on a plate for Horgan & he scored 2-9 (0-7F, 0-1 ‘65) then he could conceivably be HOTY. It would be similar to when Canning was around Galway’s 11th best player in 2017 but a campaign built up to acknowledge his career overall with the award. Although Horgan has a similar scoring record, I don’t think he’s held in the same esteem as, say, Canning or Shefflin so he’d need a big final but it could then snowball from there.
