GAA betting 2024/25

I’ve Barrett backed with a while but he’d need an all timer performance to win. However if Darragh Fitz was MOTM he’d get it I feel. I remember the year Graeme Mulcahy was a similar price to Hayes now and Cian Lynch was at decent odds and won it after the final performance.

Agreed

The final always has a huge bearing on this market

Horgan is far better value at 12s for mom than hurler of the year at 10s imo.

Two words.

Jake Morris.

You’re probably right there

He’s had a great year but Tipp will have to win which is a big if. Also if Tipp win they’ll have had to score 3-4 goals and John McGrath would be the one hitting the onion net in that scenario, thus parachuting McGrath to the front of the queue for his goal scoring heroics.

Morris has missed 5 goal scoring chances this year. He’s as likely as McGrath to score a goal or two or three.

I think tipp will be focused more on stopping Connolly and hayes than Horgan.

I see a simple scenario where he’s free and scores a lot of handy scores.

Rte will be creaming themselves to give him man of the match too.

I’d assumed he’d be six to one or something. 12s is a big price and the only bet.

Tipp will be 3/1 to win on Sunday if not bigger. Hard to see value in McGrath or Morris at those odds.

They are million to one shots if don’t win.

Don’t think so. McGrath has a serious knack for goals he’s a specialist always had that skill.

If Tipp win the all Ireland then Morris has to score at least 0-4+. He has been Tipps best forward all year and this will be recognised with HOTY unless McGrath / Forde scores 2 goals +.

Morris should be 7/1.

Best price I see on Horgan is 8/1.

Tim O’Mahony is 16/1. He stands out quite a lot visually and my in-head postcard impressions of most of Cork’s games has him figuring very prominently in pretty much all of them.

It’s about postcard impressions.

Brian Hayes however has created the biggest impression and if Cork win it’s hard to see him not figuring prominently to cement his lead in the impression stakes. Hayes is the sort of player that people do not realise he is 6 foot 4, such is the grace of his movement. I have heard the word gazelle being used in pub conversation about him (OK, it was by me). 5/4 almost represents value on him at this stage.

Brian hayes will be on Ronan Maher this Sunday. He won’t have it easy.

Ronan Maher won’t have it easy.

He’s a huge man. Looks like a child next to Downey here !

That’s not true. Sure tipp are nearly 3-1 to win the game. No tipp player should be related to those odds for mom.

The mom award is directly related to win the price.

Do you think he matches up well with Hayes?
I’d have my concerns

Barrett, Fitzgibbon and Hayes are the reason Cork are a serious team again. Daft that anyone else would be ranked ahead of those three.

O’Mahoney is a great man pedalling downhill alright.

On the ground no one matches up well to hayes. In the air Maher is as good as there is.
