GAA betting 2026

Betfair/PP odds out now. I’d expect the rest of the Provinces/All Ireland Odds out before the week is over.

It’s a bumper weekend in club hurling across the country.

Bad start as Glen rovers beaten by Midleton after capitulating in the final quarter. Was on them outright EW @ 16/1.

We start off with the big prices.

St Lachtains freshford are 10/3 PP v Young Irelands in the Kilkenny IHC QF. Freshford have had a hangover year after winning the all Ireland JHC last January, they’re a team with very good sticksmen who play Gowran. Freshford won their relegation semi convincingly last week whilst Gowran were well beaten to Dunamggin in the shield final. Gowran are a solid side but there no James Stephens and have lost to freshford already this year in the league.
I think the 10/3 should be about 5/4 here.

Ballycastle 23/4 v Loughgiel bet365 should be much tighter according to my sources up north. Ballycastle have a load of players back from earlier rounds. Bet365 are offering +9 on this that I’ve invested in.

Clonoulty 2/1 v Drom bet365. 50/50 game imo, Drom got a great win v JKB but were gifted two goals. Clonoulty had a confidence boosting win over Holycross in a dead rubber game but they looked better.

Belmullet 11/4 v Cross
Crossmolina have been the story of the mayo SFC after winning the all Ireland intermediate they’ve added 5 minors including Kobe McDonald but 11/4 is too big for Belmullet who have the best forward in mayo in their ranks.

All of the above 0.5pts win.
Another 1 pts spread across all the multis.

Favs that I fancy:
Ballina v Sars B

How bad?

Not sure. He came off after 6 minutes last week with what looked like an ankle sprain.

Noel never comes off like that so its worrying. The week off this week couldn’t have come at a better time.

Charleville plus 9 against Sars looks like a decent shout…Charleville are fairly physical prob won’t score enough to win but hoping they give them a serious rattle

Charleville one up at ht

Quarter final time in Tipp & KK Senior this weekend.

In Tipp SHC there’s 4 clear favs but other than Loughmore there’s question marks about the other 3. Loughmore themselves have injury worries about Noel McGrath, the latest is he will be ok. Hard to see them losing, I’m on them @ 20/1 for Munster club EW. I think 16/1 is still value. There not bringing Donal o Rourke up for nothing.

Holycross are deserving favs in the first QF but there on a slight downer currently and Cashel have firepower. No result would surprise me.
Moycarkey & Nenagh are too short for me. Kilruane haven’t done an awful lot wrong and you generally get a solid performance from them.

In the premier intermediate Ballina were huge value at 4/1 & 3/1 but that’s gone into 17/10.
Moneygall/Boherlahen is 50/50 so Moneygall @ 6/4 is value in a coin toss.
Swans are 2/9 to beat Silvermines and I expect them to justify it.
Other game sees Upperchurch favs who are quietly getting through the rounds, Killenaule similarly and it could go either way.

Bets of the week is in KK with Mullinavat @ 7/5 v Bennettsbridge. 2pts.
The bridge had a fairly mixed league and struggled to get over Tullaroan in round 1. Tullaroan were hammered by VAT in the league stages.
Vat only lost one game out of five which was a second half collapse to Thomastown in a game they were down a few players. There not the most stylish team in the world but they are physically imposing and competitive all over. I’d have them 4/6 for this game.

I can’t really see past Ballyhale winning and if they get there gander up it could be double digits. They definitely have depth issues with injury and lads abroad but playing a Shamrocks side with a cause invariably ends in one outcome.
I’ll be on them -2 1.5 pts and will be also on -6, -9, -15 at small stakes/bigger prices. Total stake of 2pts.

0.5pt double.

0.5 pts on Multis involving VAT, Moneygall, Ballyhale, Ballina.

That’s brave going all in on the shamrocks like that. I know you never write them off or doubht them but they’re not the team of a few years ago

Who are they still missing? I saw their lineups in the league and it looked far stronger than last year. Father time is their biggest obstacle in the short term.

Adrian Mullen hasn’t been right, neither has his brother Paddy. Joey cuddihy is in Oz, Colin Fennelly retired.
Ronan Corcoran and Killian Corcoran injury doubts for Sunday.

I think everything went Thomastowns way last year and they still only won by 2.

Right, I should have been clearer. I was mostly focusing on people not on the panel being abroad or retired. Colin and Joey is far less than they’ve had missing last couple of years.

I think if they can get folks right they’re go very close to an All Ireland.

It should be get their dander up

Good weekend on the above.

Being honest I gave a nice bit of it back on Moneygall/Ballina but in the green again.

Just looking back over, I’ve a tasty double of Loughmore/Shamrocks ongoing and a treble with them and Trillick still in.

1pt handicap treble with Bet 365

East Kerry -8 v Templenoe
Templenoe well beaten in their two club championship games.

Clough/ballacolla -4 v Ballinakill
Clough down Picky Maher but still have too much for a Cha Dwyer inspired Ballinakill

Blarney -4 v Castlelyons
Blarney lost to Bride rovers in the group but have recovered well. Castlelyons came through a weak group and are at the end of their cycle compared to Blarney.

Also have 2 pts single on Kilmallock +8 with BS
0.5pts Kilmallock @ 5/1

No dice with that treble.

Second leg fails with Castelyons beating Blarney 4-12 to 0-19. They led with a strong wind and the game was played on their terms.

Local final v bride rovers will be spicy.

Holycross surely a bet at 11/5 in Boyles

NAF double at 11/4 is good value.
