GAA - General Discussion 2024

A prophet is treated with honor everywhere except in his own hometown, among his relatives, and in his own house.

The GAA would do well to bury this referees association quickly.

I’m gonna say that’s a stupid tweet. People have been going to Australia and Murica and the mainland forever.

And Ireland and the GAA has survived.

Even if many rerun down the line with a bit of life experience.

Fuck off Shane.

Wait, are you suggesting, now stick with me here, that after a global pandemic where young people were locked down, prevented from doing anything, especially traveling abroad, that after this unprcendented world event, now wait for it, that they might all consider getting out and going seeing the world?

Is this what you are suggesting? Is it?

There’s no point in staying in Ireland anymore thanks to the split season mini blitz. One tiny injury and you can miss the entire championship.

Cork hurlers not getting much coverage. Fairly bad state of affairs when Cork v Limerick in what should be close to a full house on a Saturday evening is not being televised.

Is it not on GAAGO?

Im sure it will be, it’s not going to be televised though.

It’ll be on my Television

Three games on GAA Go is far from ideal for Cork hurling supporters and was surely deliberate.
You’re right about Cork v Limerick - a Saturday evening game with a full house. I’d expect around 30,000 for the Clare game as Clare won’t travel but Limerick will bring a huge crowd. I really would love a proper explanation as to how an occasion like that is not going to be broadcasted nationally on RTE. There are no other games clashing with it.

Don’t Rte own gaa go or something? Surely the gaa are absolutely seething having to play second fiddle to the soccer and maybe that’s why they are keeping the cork v Limerick game

Even last year there was a savage amount of cork games on gaa go. Went down like a lead balloon.

Saying that i didnt want to pay so i went the tipp game in supervalue park. Definitely a good decision

The Tipp v Cork game was the only one

Cork v Waterford, Cork v Clare and Cork v Limerick were all on RTE.

How have they not managed to get GoGo TV onto the Skybox anyway?

You might pay for that but a dodgy WiFi connection you wouldn’t.

Its a huge own goal.

I’d say a lot of the apathy towards Horse Racing today can be traced back to the decision to put Irish Racing onto Racing TV from Attheraces in 2019.

Or the crowd involved are a shower of smelly cunts.

RTE haven’t broadcast Intercounty Gaa in 14 years on a Saturday night though, no?

Pat wont like that
