I believe (I got a WhatsApp) that a very small rural Waterford senior club got a management proposal from a potential manager who proposed charging them 3k a month for a 2 year term (€63k) and to acquire a hurling coach from Cork who would earn €50k in the same period. The club would have to source their own S&C coach.
The potential manager wouldn’t have much of a CV but put together a one hour PowerPoint presentation in a hotel room that he rented for the purpose.
No I’m saying historically he’s been trying since he finished with Cork to get the Barrs Senior hurlers job (it’s his club for years now - I know he’s a blow-in so maybe that didn’t help)
I’m saying they have finally given him the chance
