Eamo needs to find a new fullback too. The two Bearna fellas are gone and I heard Silke is walking away.
There’s a load of Dingle fisherman out of work since Fungi disappeared. A speed boat from Dingle harbour to salthill would kill two birds
There’s no sign of him getting the Kerry job again, and he probably feels he’s not finished. It might even be his way to get the Kerry job again.

You don’t get paid for career breaks?
It’s a name I did think of as soon as Joyce left but thought it was a non runner as he had a very handy gig with all the media stuff. Seemed happy enough doing that while coaching away at club level. Definitely an intriguing appointment if it happens.
I get all that but still would not be for me.
No, but job is waiting for him and he can maintain pension by paying into it.
Unless Galway are paying him serious grade he’d be taking a big pay cut between the Principals salary and the Examiner & RTE gigs he will have to give up.
Not sure about this , could be A manger who overthinks the game coupled with a group of players who overthink the game ,

That’s some investment from Pat Mc
He might end up in there somewhere yet.

Hernon might reconsider now the other flute is gone.
I agree. Great appointment if true.
Your positivity knows no bounds. Stick to the gee gees and give the man a chance if its even true.
Think he’s whipped by the women and is travelling with her to Yank anyways. His disdain for North Galwegians is only a minor factor in taking a year out.

Where was Hernon going? Traveling?
The optics of it would look terrible.
Rightly or wrongly, Davy Fitz could be considered a businessman with investments etc as his ‘official’ income and a lot of ‘retired’ lads like Mickey Harte/Malachy O’Rourke/Jack O’Connor who are Senior I/C managers are down as pensioners whether that’s their sole income or not.
John Kiely and a few more have makey uppy mickey mouse jobs that provide cover but I dont know how they can square this circle if it goes ahead.
His Kerry team were stodgy at best.
Ten years is a long time to be gone from the inter county game as well.
As a principal?
I thought Kiely had to take a step back to deputy in order to secure a career break.
