Pat paints some picture of Ruislip there.
“Like Mardi Gras, Paddys Day, Electric Picnic and the Ploughing all rolled into one”.
Be some craic for whoever gets them away in The Tailteann Cup.
Great to see camogie getting great promotion today. One of the unexpected benefits of the split season.
Proper championship weather
@Perez2017 turning his nose up at the views of Pat Spillane, one of the greatest Gaelic Footballers of all time. What would Pat Spillane know about Gaelic Football. That’s the sort of zealotry you’re dealing with here with the Split Season zealots.
Spillane writes for the Sunday World. You would have it read front to back during an ad break. Enough said.
Tyrone v Monaghan is a tremendous game. Ulster football used to be shit before the split season
Great point by Sludden. Lovely incision.
Soft free
Omfg
The Butcher Boy wins it for monaghan
That was good fun. Take the goals and the points will take care of themselves.
Gaelic football as a sport has rarely if ever been better.
What an incredible day, the split season strikes again. The zealots won’t like this one bit
Think all Galway’s u-20 matches have to be played in Leinster. Dont ask me why
Load of bollocks. Their senior team were only playing in Leinster at the start. Watch that change as we go along.
Sporting greats aren’t always trustworthy sources, just look at DJ Carey, Spillane’s suggestion of 6 month cycle of intercounty hurling/club football then 6 month of intercounty football/club hurling and vice versa the next year shows how out of touch he is.
Spillane’s social life been turned upside down is his issue same as the main cribbers on here.
Biggest voices against the new calendar are certain people in national media (vested interests) and the few headbangers here.
If you watch your Gaa from a couch the new season is not ideal. Suits me grand because i watch Inter county from my couch but will head to a lot of club championship games from August on. All Ireland finals be mid August next year so no need for all the fuss.
