Again, how many club matches have you been at the last few weeks?

More than you I’d imagine.

I doubt it mate

That was some Tour De France from Martin Breheny in todays Independent.

The first paragraph in particular is outstanding.

They could combine minor and u21 into a new military age grade

Vetted or unvetted?

2 points outside the 45 Is a good idea From Roy Curtis. I’d have that Over the mark.

Roy just gets it.

Would that ever be trialed ?

Fuck it great idea. Wouldnt be too difficult to implement without a major change to the game.

I haven’t even thought it fully through but seems a good idea.

Would be easy to implement at club level too and encourage foot passing.

Mich better than advanced marks, counting handpasses, keepimg x amount of forwards from passing the 45 etc. ideas. Its better than the no back pass when you go outside your own 45 which i think was a good idea. As you said 2 points can easily be applied for a junior b ref and is applicable to senior intercounty

I’d like to see 0.1 points awarded for a handpassed over the bar.

It’s also hard to score points outside the 45 too.

5 for a goal
2 for an over the bar from outside a new circular 45 metre line
1 for a kicked over the bar from inside the 45
0.1 for a handpassed over the bar

Got it

It wpuld really open up the field, especially when a team has players that can shoot and score at that distance.

Question i have is a 45 1 or 2 points? Im leaning on 1 point, same for a free from placed ball. Out of the hand implies that the defence is putting pressure on you to take the shot, you have very little time to set yourself
