Gaa split season, killing Meath football since 2011

You just don’t get it fella.

I’m hearing people giving out solid fuck about the Gaelic football championship, structures, formats and the ‘plight’ of the club player for the last 40 years fella. At least they are trying to do something about it.

Who’s trying to do something about what?

The gaa are trying to do something about people constantly complaining about the football championship format and club players having no certainty about when their matches will be

As a self confessed crown subject your concern for the Paddy’s stick fighting and bog ball is most endearing.

Best of luck to your Westmeath charges for the campaign ahead.

Who do you think the Steelers should draft?

Give a bit of detail there on how you would plan it to be a summer sport at both intercounty and club level

You love talking about J1s. Is that not a perfect opportunity for them?

Round 5 of the Wexford senior hurling championship was the evening of the All-Ireland football final between Kerry and Galway in late July 2022. County footballers like Eoghan Nolan and Glen Malone would’ve had to sell their All-Ireland tickets due to the crucial final round of hurling fixtures.

And so be it. The other 80 or so lads involved in those games probably not too concerned.

More so pointing out that Dan was misinformed thinking there was no club hurling in Wexford in June or July. Sure the final was played in August the last two years (and 20’).

Has GAA ever been in a healthier place?

Lar Corbett backing the split season today.

This could actually be the end of the split season today.

The results aren’t good one of cork or Clare are gone next weekend.

Limerick take off tipp and then you’ll have the scenario of Waterford finishing Tipp and the round robin being done by the Sunday of the may bank holiday.

That just isn’t good for anybody or the great game of hurling.

So if Cork or Tipp are knocked out first weekend of June instead that would be fine?
