We are hurtling towards professionalism where County players won’t be playing any club. Try explaining it to the split season zealots though

I see something like having two club championships in the future.

Inter county season and club season running from April to September.

You could have a second straight knock out club championship with inter county players involved and even allow lads who are based say in Dublin come back and play with their home clubs.

FFS Waterford players don’t really play IC, they’ve no excuse

The condition of pitches is a big talking point in Waterford too. Walsh Park and Fraher Field got hardly any use in May, June and most of July. Both getting used around the clock now for last month to play off the county championship blitzes, with inevitable deterioration in surfaces and accumulation of injuries.
