Gaa split season, promoting Meath football since 2025

Why can’t you spell fuck?

+1. They’ve been out of the inter-county since May and most of them don’t even play club football. Injuries to hurlers in Waterford has nothing to do with split season.

Bad land, bad pitches

Switching footing turf for Call Of Duty in the free hours playing havoc with the cruciates around the country.

If they were pulling wild oats they’d be the finest.

Hurling must be in a very bad place in Waterford. Ballygunnar could easily be two clubs and the Waterford club championship would be much the better for it

Hat tip to the account that had this last week

Sin sin

There’s a good reason players play and administrators should administrate.

If players were in charge, every match would be played on Thurs/Friday night or latest mid afternoon Saturday but we all know that that isn’t in the best overall interest of the association.

Well put. Players will in the main go with what suits them best.
Like you don’t hear of many players selling lotto tickets or coaching u8s on a Saturday morning either

You dont? I hear and see plenty.

This is a point I’ve made over and over again. Players know the square root of fuck all.

They’re giving enough time to the thing to be asked to volunteer time towards fundraising; some do get involved in coaching

Many do. Its nasty enough to suggest otherwise as some here who havent a clue have done. The commitments on playing nowadays is far removed from when I was playing. Foolish to expect them all to get involved in teams while playing. Still, many do or will do if asked. Players are plenty with it when it comes to these things.

Look at what’s going on in Wexford. Players running the show. A weekend of fixtures gets cancelled for this woke Electric Picnic carry on. No need for any more debate really as to why Wexford is lost as a hurling county.

100 games on Clubber this week. Incredible how far the Club game has come in the last few years.

Listen we know if you had your way every match would be on Sunday at 3 o clock, right after youve been to mass, had your few pints and home for your dinner. Then off to the match to see the bishop throw in the ball. But them days are gone, lads put a lot more effort in these days and are entitled to the odd weekend off.

The Archbishop throwing in the ball was a wonderful tradition. Getting rid of that was the start of it.
